“Indigenous Medicine: Healing the Worlds Waters”

In the Medicine Wheel the doorway of the West is the place of water –the place of the bears-the place of the Elders-the place of our emotions.
***Water is our lifeforce.****
One can go without food for up to 30 days yet after 4 days of water fasting the human begins to enter a lucid state and prepare for death.
*Water is life * Life is water*
We will enter the Medicine Wheel and pray with cornmeal,tobacco,sage,cedar,copal,lavender,rosemary,sweetgrass,cinnamon,mullen,palo santo to each direction,and make our offerings to the Grandfather Fire,and make offerings to the Fountain,encircling the Ceremonial grounds in prayer and returning to the Medicine Wheel.
We will learn a water song and send our prayers forth to the waters.
We will council about solutions to resolve the worlds current water plight.
And we will pray for and acknowledge all beings that are from the water.

**Please bring offerings for the Medicine Wheel and Grandfather fire to share:**
cornmeal,tobacco,sage,cedar,white or yellow copal,lavender,rosemary,sweetgrass,cinnamon,mullen,palo santo.
And a vessel of water from a sacred area to be placed in the Medicine Wheel on Friday,July 31,- August 2, 2009 and prayed over during the Fountain.
And concluding the Fountain the waters will be sent back to the river.
