Michael Holden

Michael Holden creates a space at the Oracle Gatherings for children and families called The Squid Room. It's not a child-care facility but rather a place the kids can call their own, and parents can chill out and meet other parents.

When he's not making family-friendly spaces, Michael works as a Regional Contact for the Seattle Burning Man community, organizes parties, potlucks and protests, takes a lot of photographs, DJs downtempo, house and mashup music, and helps people work through difficult experiences. Michael is also an accomplished internet technologist with 15 years of experience in developing open source content management systems, electronic commerce and social networking applications. He likes sushi, chihuahuas, evil mashups, hot springs and art on fire.
