Neko!

I've been going to the Gatherings for at least couple of years, now... ever since the one that took place in Magnuson Park. Since that experience, I got hooked. :)

I've been to every one since. It's like being surrounded with the best that the world has to offer: beautiful people, spirit-enhancing music, blissful vibes. I've made many connections to be thankful for, many memories to cherish.

For example...
Sitting on the floor in front of the basement dance floor at The Other Side, with Daniel Pinchbeck. Hearing him ask the audience during his talk, if we'd ever read one of my favorite books. Bumping into Lorenzo in the refreshments room. The feeling at the end, everybody sitting on the floor while Isis and a random gatherer walked through the veils.

There are more, but you'll have to ask me about them in person :)

I'm usually found at the Church of Bass, at just about every event, as well as at HotWired and Head|Set (and if I'm not there physically, I'm there in spirit!). Feel free to say hi!

I'm also the Trash Master at The Fountain, as deemed by my friend, the esteemed Jello. So I'll be the one collecting bottles and such. :)

And now, it's your turn to introduce yourself! (yes, you!)

The first park at Sand Point

The first park at Sand Point was established in 1900 as Carkeek Park, a gift from developers Mr. and Mrs. Morgan J. Carkeek. After World War I, a movement was begun to build Naval Air Station (NAS) Sand Point, and King County began acquiring surrounding parcels. In 1922 the Navy began construction on the site, which it was leasing from the county, and in 1926 the Navy was deeded the 413-acre (1.67 km2) field outright. The name Carkeek Park was subsequently given to a new park north of Ballard. This deed amounted to a public gift of $500,000 PMI-001 from the county to the Navy, in 1926 dollars; this would be $5,283,000 in 2005 dollars, not including significant real estate appreciation.[2] The Seattle Chamber of Commerce—a commercial entity—had done the same thing for the Army 28 years before with Fort Lawton, much of which is now Discovery Park. 642-436 In 1970 the airfield shut down, and negotiations began as to who would receive the surplus property. In 1975 a large portion of the Navy's land was given to the City of Seattle and to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA). The city's land was largely developed as a park and named Sand Point Park. In 1977, it was renamed Magnuson Park in honor of Washington Senator Warren G. Magnuson. Both names are in use. 70-646 Fourteen years later, in 1991, the naval installation closed completely, and the remaining land was divided among several entities including the city.

greetings!

i'm known as jello, and i'll be the house manager for the fountain - basically, a glorified maitre d'. i'm here to answer any questions you might have about the event, help-out wherever i'm needed, or point you to the right person or place. so let me know how i can help!

i've been attending the oracle gatherings since their inception at father sun. a transplant from the 90's rave scene in st louis, i was blown away by the way the oracle gatherings transformed the all-night dance party scene into a multimedia, consciousness-expanding, transformational community experience!

i started attending the oracle gatherings at the beginning, with father sun. initially, it seemed my role was to help clean-up every time a black light exploded on the dance floor. i became officially involved as stage manager for mother earth in 2004, and since then have served as stage manager or house manager, utilizing my background in theater.

when i'm not house managing for the oracle, i'm usually knitting or crocheting, and specialize in finger puppets. if you're interested in that sort of thing, you can find some of my work online at www.jellokrunch.etsy.com.

thanks for participating, and here's to another 8 years of transformational community experience!

A bit about me.....

Greetings!
I am new to Oracle gathering, having been invited to speak & set up as a vendor. I and my partner are Al-Kemi, a company we created in 1991 to bring Alchemy and Spagyric healing into modern times. We create medicines from plants and minerals, making preparations for healing, meditation, Tantra, Shamanic work and more.

At Oracle, I will be talking about the seven planetary energies as a framework for spiritual growth. The official listing for my workshop is here:

I'm looking forward to the gathering & meeting some new and interesting folks!

I came to the "Father Sun" Oracle Gathering and was invited to be a reader before I had any idea what the Oracle Gatherings were! I then re-discovered it years later and have attended nearly everyone since.

It was a culture shock at first, little did I know that this gathering would play a major role in helping me discover my self on a deeper level as a synchromystic story-teller.

I am so grateful for the wonderful community of people involved with the gatherings and how much intention and sacredness is palpable to me every time I attend.

My experience of the Oracle Gatherings is that it is
A Dance-culture, multimedia-arts phenomenon that speaks to the mystical community seeker. The Oracle Gatherings have redefined what is possible in a party environment with hugely popular Prayer-formances, diviners offering awesome Tarot readings and other fare to enhance the Myth-rich creative playground suitable for all ages. Bottom line- it brings people together and inspires me.

I have made great friends there and the community involved has been a bridge to my way of life now. It is awesome to be in a community that knows how to have fun in epic fashion with depth and meaning while making a difference in peoples lives at the same time.

This Time around I am also Divination Coordinator, so those of you who are approved for doing readings please submit an email to me with a bio and profile pic attachment and I will create a page for you on here. May Clarity and Inspiration serve our community with grace!

Perhaps I'll see you in a reading by yours truly--or mesmerized by succulent sounds getting freaky on the dance floor!
