| Alternative Food Distribution
| Joshua D. & Eden Trenon
Joshua D. is a 26 year-old native of the Northwest.  He is a gardener, permaculturist, opportunist, social activist, and primitivist.  His driving interest is the acquisition and dissemination of any and all skills that we, as a community, can use to extricate and protect ourselves from the military/industrial complex.  Joshua has been dumpster diving for over five years, and for an unbroken 2 year period of my life he fed entirely on the dumpstered spoils (and uses that word very much intending a pun) of natural food stores.  He has dumpstered grocers, department stores, constructions sites, and many other places in cities in the Southwest and Northwest.
Eden Trenon believes everyone has the right to fresh, high-quality food from sources they know and trust.  Her first farming experience was in 1999 in Vermont, and she has worked on and eaten from organic farms and garden plots ever since, in Ohio, Havana, Oregon and Seattle.  In 2004, she founded Mukilteo, Washington's first farmers' market with the vision of increasing access to fresh, safe, local foods and facilitating direct communication and knowledge-sharing between growers and consumers, therefore establishing a trust and accountability lacking in most modern commerce.  She continues to participate in growing food as a member of the Seattle P-Patch and the Wedgwood Co-op, works with the Mukilteo and Seattle Farmers' Markets and buys directly from growers whenever possible.
